–sorry for the inconvenience yesterday as I did not post. I was on a flight–
A week ago I embarked on an amazing adventure. I flew from Newcastle to Amsterdam, stayed in Amsterdam for a night, then drove all over Germany.
I have been to Hannover, Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam, and a lot more places. I have been to the Berlin wall, Checkpoint Charlie, the Brandenburg Gate, the bouncing bomb dam, a canal cruise through Amsterdam and a bridge too far.
My grandad came along as a birthday present for his 80th birthday. He visited his old war village and recognised his old camp location.
It was amazing. There are a few things I have noticed about Germany that are different to England:
- They advertise cigarettes.
- There are a lot less armed police in Berlin than in Newcastle.
- The Germans are EXTREMELY enthusiast.
Till next time.
