Schools are now using games such as the brilliant game Minecraft to educate children on the environment and architecture. It’s called the Minecraft education edition.

Teachers can control the world and ‘put’ things in the world for the children to interact with.

“Minecraft empowers you to create lessons with students [and] draw on their experience.”

-Steve Isaacs

Some people would disagree with placing video games in the classroom but that is just because they don’t know the whole premise of Minecraft. Minecraft is a game about building structures and yes you can kill people in the game (This is nonexistent in the education edition). But the whole thing is educational and will help children open their minds, Be creative and Learn on the way. If you are an educator I would highly recommend you look into this and may even consider ‘putting’ it into your school.
